The Humidifier chamber is a product basically composed of a thermoplastic cup with 250 ml a capacity, which has on its upper part an inlrt connection, identified with the inscription “IN” to connect the tube to the gas flow coming from the respirator and an outlet connection, identified with the inscription “OUT” to connect the tube that will conduct the humidified gas to the patient. In its lower part, it has an aluminum base that when it comes into contact with the heater, promotes the heating of the water inside the chamber
The Humidifier chamber is designed to prevent thermal shock and dryness of the airways during the supply of gas to the patient. Applies in situations where the upper airways of the intubated patient require a heated flow during mechanical ventilation.
